the same team
he could apologize...
she would ask him, "for what?"
he would just sit
silent
he has no answer
he has infinite
questions
no answers
he hurts because
she hurts because
he...
doesn't know why
they're both frustrated...
at him
they're both trying to
cast off cares
they both need a miracle
of
revelation
or
consolation
two stomachs
knotted
in tangles
of confusion
he tied
two minds
both believe
distance will decrease
pain
but the hurt
is just one more
commonality
so battling
unidentified foes
he's asking the
same question
as she
"if we're already
sharing the load
shouldn't we fight
on the same team?"
she would ask him, "for what?"
he would just sit
silent
he has no answer
he has infinite
questions
no answers
he hurts because
she hurts because
he...
doesn't know why
they're both frustrated...

the girl and i are back together. i returned my green toothbrush to her house and everything. since the poetry seemed to be a big hit with all 3 of you readers, i'll try it again. the following is a poem i wrote toward the end of our short-lived, yet, excruciatingly confusing break-up. i originally intended to post it on my blog with hopes that she'd read it. opting for a more mature method of communicating, i just went to her house and told her how i felt in a manner much less vague than the poem you are about to read. apparently, most girls prefer this approach. now, the whole wide web has the opportunity to read what needed saying to just one of its' users. read, empathize, enjoy!
