river reflection
consistent current
constant sound
drops convene
in the creases
of mountains
consistent
constant
for hours
days and
weeks
rapids roll like
sticks on snares
across fields of green
water
seems
to arrive
at our rock in
unending abundance
the rock
and its neighbors
are subtly shifted
slightly scraped
bit by bit
by grain
more rain
could cover them,
move,
or destry them until
nothing
remains
or
after months
rains cease
leaving rocks to
the wind
dry and mighty
consistent
constant
ceasing
like rocks
like rain
like rivers
