The Moment...

...when wasting
precious seconds
of life
becomes crime
and punishment
too heavy
to hold
i turn
shrug off
guilty weight

...of choosing
long-term
commitment to
spite fears
while smiling

...of emergence
from nocturnal
dementia waking
to daylight

...weatherman speaks
through television
words raising
heavy head
says, "Today,"
is the
first day
of Spring."

    The News:

I have been working nights for about 2 months. I'm done. I'm stepping out into the daytime.

The night I firmly decided to start working days, I watched "Click", a movie with Adam Sandler. I decided to stop wasting my life as well. That night, I heard on the news that the next day was the first day of Spring. I could feel it nearing. (mostly in my chest where it is messing with my allergies)

I got accepted to U.T. to become a Master Social Worker!!!

    As confirmation of this move...

Some friends invited me to see Adam Sandler movie that I knew nothing about. Reign Over Me is an incredible film about mental health and love. I was moved and moved and moved...and moved.

    See that movie.

Let me know what you think.

Alright!! Matt Graham is going back to school...back to school...(to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool)! Well, it's another Adam Sandler movie - but probably not as moving!

YOU are wonderful - I'm so glad (and God probably is too) that you're choosing this path!

    Hey Matt!
I came to your site to ask how you were doing and what was going on with school stuff, and so it was cool that you had updated on that. Congratulations!! I'm really proud of you. I'm considering UT social work more after a friend (acquaintance) of mine who's going through it told me about the program. So, I might see you in the spring... or next fall.. or sometime. :) P.S. are you still at the Oaks?

I'm glad that I looked through my older posts to see that you commented on the China bit.

I'm glad I came back to your blog to see that you love me back (not that I ever doubted it).

I'm glad that you and Cody have an "OUR" apartment. This I will have to come see.
